FATionista's at LARGE: Item of the Week

While doing some online shopping I found the perfect winter item...Tamarama leather shorts on (@damnyoualexis) Damnyoualexis.com (priced at $299). When choosing leather shorts the rule of thumb is to be sure they are not too tight and not too short. When wearing a black pair of shorts soften up the look by choosing more feminine colors. During the winter months pair your tamara leather shorts with a pair of tights and a wedge shoe or sky high heel.

FATionista's at LARGE: Item of the Week

During my latest shopping spree also known as Cyber Monday I found the perfect red jeans by @Eloquii. Besides red being one of the most sought after colors forecast for Winter these pants fit like a glove (and have 1% spandex for a little forgiveness). The most important factors when buying jeans are the fit and the comfortableness. If you for whatever reason are not familiar as of yet with Eloquii check out their site (Eloquii.com) for other great finds.

FATionista's at LARGE: Marsha Ambrosius

While looking through a few of my magazines I noticed that Soul Singer Marsha Ambrosius has completely did a 360 in her wardrobe this year. After shedding a few pounds and becoming a solo artist Ms. Ambrosius' confidence looks as if it has kicked itself into high gear. From vintage finds, to red carpet glam Marsha has proven that she has the ability to be a well dressed curvy woman.

FATionista's at LARGE: Item of the Week

Forever 21+ 's leatherette trim fleece poncho is an essential piece for your Fall Wardrobe. The Poncho and swing coat trend resurfaced last year (Fall 2010) and is still going strong. The leather like trimming gives an added flair to this particular poncho. I am a huge fan of swing coats because they have the ability to jazz up an outfit yet they are comfy and most times warm. Priced at $42.80 I would have to say this is a FAB FIND UNDER FIFTY!!! Thoughts Lovies?

FATionista's at LARGE: Item of the Week

Monif C. is one of my favorite Plus Size Designers. I am NEVER disappointed with her collections because there is always something for every person and for every occasion. Here is one of my "it" items from the Monif C. Fall Collection: Emme Ponte Knit Arrow Dress. I absolutely love the color navy because like black it is elegant and timeless. This dress has 2 wow factors the bright red arrow detailing which accentuates your curves and the ponte knit fabric. Pair this dress with a nude pump or sky high wedge and clutch and you will be ready for a night out with your friends or a date with that special someone. Click here to purchase the dress or to gasp over some of the other hot items. HAPPY SHOPPING!!!

Throw It In The Bag

I purchased a simple cobalt blue "Neccessary Objects" dress for a business casual event to support Judge Helena Heath Roland's Campaign for Surrogate Court Judge of Albany County. Some of you may be familiar with the name from the 1st Entrepreneur Speed Networking Event that I hosted. She attended and was an absolute darling....I will be supporting her on her journey and will look fab doing so.

Below is additional information about the event I will be attending (Designed: L Design)

Monif C Fall 2010

I absolutley die for Monif C's Fall 2010 Collection. The compilation of chic, sleek and flirty yet fun dresses and jumpsuits will keep you wanting more. My favorite piece is the "Raquel" Fire Print jumpsuit. It is a fresh new take on the ever evolving one piece jumper. Monif C has completely left me speechless (which is rare) with her Fall 2010 line. Although I adore the jumpsuit there is so much more....a retake on her infamous convertible dress (adding 2 color blocks). I encourage you to visit the Monif C website. It is garunteed that you will find an item that will become your MUST HAVE for Fall.

V Magazine Size Issue

Due to hit shelves January 14th V Magazine's Size Issue (v63) has already began receiving whispers. The controversy issue showcases 5 plus size models with real curves. The controversial whispers stem from the comparison of two models: a plus size and straight model Christina Renn (established plus-size) and Jacquelyn Jablonski (newcomer-high fashion). Some are saying "why does there have to be a high fashion model side by sidewith a plus size model"? I say (being plus size) anything you can do I can do better and from the looks of it Christina Renn is a force to be wreckoned with!

The layout entitled "One Size Fits All" by Photographer Terry Richardson is absolutely amazing. This shoot is the equivalent of fresh air. The average woman is a size 14 however, you seldomly witness a magazine who has the guts to shoot A REAL WOMAN. Kudos to V Magazine for going out on a limb. Where they wrong for the comparison and contrast is to be determined by readers. In my opinion I think the images are creative and well-thought. The obvious purpose o the shoot to empower woman by pushing the message size does not matter. I love.....

Measurements:
Christina: 5 ft 9 in 36/34/41
Jacquelyn: 5 ft 9 in 32/24/34
